European Nightcrawlers (Eisenia hortensis)
European Nightcrawlers, also called Super Reds, are claimed by some to be one of the best fishing worms currently available due to their tough skin and high levels of activity while being on the hook. Despite being from the same family as Red Wigglers, the European Nightcrawler can grow anywhere between 3 to 5 inches, and sometimes even up to 7 inches! They are usually pink-grey, and blueish having a striped appearance, with their tails being relatively pale. They're also a great composting worm!

Red Wigglers (Eisenia fetida)
The Red Wiggler is everyone's favorite composting worm for a reason; they love to eat!! These little guys can eat up to half their body weight in a single day. Apart from composting, these worms make a great, high protein, addition to the diet of any reptile, amphibian or bird! They can also make a great bait worm if you're an angler looking for a smaller worm to place on the hook. The ideal temperature for Red Wigglers is between 55F to 77F. When fully grown there is roughly 1000 Red Wigglers per one pound.
